are you a “know” junkie?
I have a really good friend Jason Parrish (my aforementioned brother from another mother), who always has to be in the “know” when it comes to all things tech, and I mean all things tech. He’s RSS’d to the max, he reads just about everything he finds on the web…for hours at a time. In our group of nerdy teachers we’ve dubbed him “wiki boy” and we have an in office graphic scoring sheet with pre-printed photo stickers (I kid you not) at the ready for each person able to stump the “wiki boy.” Don’t get me wrong, we love him and his quirkiness to death- that’s why we all get along so well- but dude just knows too much! Well, in my small attempt to keep up, I ran across this article and video interview with Guy Kawasaki by downloadsquad.com’s Christina Warren. In her post and video they talked about Alltop.com, so being the curious nerd I am, I clicked the link (just as you will) and wow. I just may be able to keep up with my “wiki boy” friend- well, maybe not, but I can try. I am really impressed with this news aggregation site and it’s look- nice and clean. Digging a little deeper into how the site came to be I’m even more impressed with it’s creative team Nononina, Inc. (Guy Kawasaki, Will Mayall, and Kathryn Henkens) the creators of the site Truemors. I sure would like to hear some teacher stories from those three, I’m sure they’ve made their respective teachers very proud or scratching their heads in disbelief- like mine.
